Beginning of a better month. Last month was AWFUL!
I have a cat! He is gorgeous. Tortoise shell with white feet, a white face, and green eyes. He has not tried to scratch or bite anyone! He loves to sleep with us. He sleeps on my pillow and purrs! He is wonderful!
(I never thought I would live to see a grammar rule changed... alas, I have. When listing a set of related items you must put a comma before the final conjunction. Thus, there is a comma before the 'and'. This is just wrong!)
I plan to do better this week. Lots of stuff at which to 'get better'.
Starting... by going to sleep, now. My sleep patterns are weird. Time to fix it. Up about 7 should help!

Another day in paradise
Today was good. I'm having a lot of good days. I like that!
Tomorrow I have much to do but I will get it done. Day after day... one after another... trying to do the right thing.
Abundance is of the soul. That is what is most important.
Life is good.
I'm unemployed, going to school, living on 3/8 of what I was making and I'm happy. I have enough to cover my bills.
I wonder if the people I know and love are happy. I'd like them to be. It would be great if I could help others but... each person is in charge of their own happiness.
My second 'adopted' granddaughter had a baby yesterday. Jayce. He is home now. He is healthy. I'm glad.
It was hazy today. A little cold. But the country is beautiful. Anytime I go outside here the landscape is green. The trees are taller than anywhere else I've every lived. Evergreens.
I'm looking forward to the spring. I want to see if I can grow anything here. There are P-Patches in Bellevue and Mukilteo. I plan to participate in one or the other. Any suggestions? I don't know what to plant. Veggies for salads, squash, maybe tomatoes, perhaps sugar peas. Blackberries grow wild here so that isn't an issue. Perhaps strawberries?
Again, life is good!

Another day in the life....
I have a teacher for Computer Math & Problem Solving that made me take a test to see if I met the pre-requisites for the class. I passed. So I have three solid classes to take this quarter.
CIS 114 Computer Math & Problem Solving is on-line
CIS 161 A+ (Hardware) 1 is a regular class room class, Tuesday & Thursdays 6-8:40 PM
CIS 171 Cisco Networking 1 is a hybrid class where part is on-line and the rest is Saturday 12:45-3:25 PM
Lots of work but it should be worth it.
The teacher for the hardware class is a character. I think I'll like him. The 'evangelical' style of teaching is interesting. I'm looking forward to to learning about the mysterious world or hardware!
There is a concern. I understand the A+ test in changing the end of February. I'm hoping that I will be able to be certified in A+ before long and I hope to be learning the right stuff. In any case, I'll be glad to demystify the insides of the box.
Jim went and picked up some 'pre-vinegar' for himself and some 'post-egg whites' for me. OK... it is wine before it becomes vinegar. Meringues are post-egg whites. It isn't good for either of us, but once in a while we indulge.
My trip to Denver over the holidays was good. At the same time it was hard. Daddy isn't as good as he was. He is in pretty good shape physically. The hip replacement hasn't slowed him down. His mind isn't very good. We try to insure he is well cared for. He is now in hospice care. They decided to accept him because he has lost so much weight.
Hospice care has changed. Originally it was for those who were dieing. Now, it is for those who are in need of palliative care. Daddy fits the bill.

It is getting closer to Christmas and I'm still not ready.
I've addressed my Dad's Christmas Cards but they have not been mailed to Denver for him to distribute.
I've addressed some of my Christmas Cards... they are still sitting here.
I have a couple of presents ready to mail but it looks like they will be sent later (or I'll take them with me for Christmas.)
Today I was busy all day. I did many little things. I'm still catching my breath. All is well!
My sisters sounded good today. We had a quick conference call. Nothing momentous to report. Daddy is doing well.
Take care... Merry Christmas!

A quiet day today. I played Farmville and did laundry. I stayed home all day. It was great!
I talked to Virginia for a while. She is doing well. They cut a Chritmas tree today.
Michelle sounded good. She is now on FaceBook. We are 'friends'.
Althaea was also having a quiet day.
Today... very quiet and enjoyable. Tomorrow... lots to get done!

Today was not a bad day to go to the World Market (Cost Plus). There were a few things I knew I wanted from there. They were actually not very busy. That is good for me to shop but it does not look too good for the holiday season.
My leg is mostly healed... so I need to keep the scar soft so it will 'remodel' without a heavy scar. It will also make it more comfortable. The skins feels tight and it itches. The skin is fragile... I don't dare scratch it but I do rub it gently. I got some vitamin A & E oil to put on it. I hope it does the trick.
Jeanette sounded good today. It sounded like a good crew for Thanksgiving. Daddy was there.
I haven't made reservations for Christmas yet. I'm not sure what my time will look like. We'll see.

Thanksgiving Day
Well, the Thanksgiving meal did not get made. My CFIDS kicked in and my body just would not work... so, Saturday will be Thanksgiving again.
Linda, Jim and Jim met me at Sherri's for dinner. They had a Thanksgiving special. Pie was delicious - Apple, cranberry, cream cheese pie. (Try it if you get a chance.)
I watched Glee. I enjoy listening and watching the music, the plot is a bit thin. I've been watching an old series called Forever Knight. Vampires. It is fun but also a bit thin on plot.
As I may be unemployed for Christmas I will try to make Christmas presents. I'm going to try making some boxes and maybe doing something with an some old books. Lots of interesting ideas but I'm not sure who gets what! I'm open to suggestions!
Robyn called from Jeanette's. It was a small gathering. Jeanette, Leo, Robyn, Mike, Leo's Mom, Leo's brother and Leo's nephew. It sounded like it was good. I'll call the family tomorrow.
I'll try to call a few friends too.
